I started a company, CTI Towers, that required convincing Comcast to go from being a net-buyer of assets to being a net-seller of assets. I faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles and dealt with many skeptics, including a Comcast co-founder who said “David, we tried this already. It won’t work.” CTI Towers went on to be a massive success. I’m proud to have been a co-founder and chairman.
What can you always be relied on for?Unwavering loyalty through good times and bad times. Always available, never disconnected.
What unique life experience shapes the way you go about investing? As an immigrant to the United States from an oppressive and suffocating country, I take nothing for granted. I am immensely grateful to the United States. With hard work, relentless drive, and some good luck, the American Dream is achievable — I’m living proof. I went from living entirely off of government subsidies as a child to making mine a reality through hard work and determination. That’s why my favorite quote is, “The foundation of achievement is intense desire.”
What makes you the real deal?Immigrant mentality grounded in compassion and empathy while operating with kindness & rigor. I don’t expect more from others than what I’m willing to offer.
